Meet our Riders
We don't use models for photoshoots, we use our real life riders
British Embracing Green
Meet the forest cyclists whose stories moved us enough to include them into the forest brand itself.
Any business is the sum of its customers, and forest is no different to that. So when we decided to rebrand from HumanForest to Forest, there was a risk that we would lose the humanistic qualities of our grassroots feeling, community driven name that ‘HumanForest’ gave us.
The solution? Invite our riders to our first official forest photoshoot. The result was a rich suite of unofficial models, brand ambassadors with real and honest stories about forest bikes, London journeys, and silly musings.
We’ve collated a few for you to read through:

How has the way you travel and navigate London changed since you first discovered Forest?
So much better. I'd always wanted to cycle but never found it convenient. Forest enables me to get where I want to quickly, without breaking the bank or my legs from effort. I now choose to cycle over taking the tube whenever I can.
Did you cycle much before using Forest, and do you feel you cycle more since using our eBikes? Are there any other ways that using our eBikes has changed your lifestyle?
No, I did once or twice and now use Forest if not daily then 5/7 days a week. It's meant I'm outdoors more rather than underground which I'm a big fan of. I've shown friends from abroad the city this way and it's fun exploring more parts of London now I'm above ground.
What do you think of Forest as a brand?
I think Forest is authentic, original, thoughtful and if it were human would want to be its friend.
What would you say to other women who’d like to start riding eBikes, but are hesitant to get started?
Give it a go with a pal first on a quiet street. It's super fun and my confidence cycling has improved so much since I started.

How has the way you travel and navigate London changed since you first discovered Forest?
I find that if I don’t have too much to carry or the weather isn’t too bad that I choose a forest bike over any other type of transport. For me it’s the ease and speed of a cab without the expense.
Did you cycle much before using Forest, and do you feel you cycle more since using our eBikes? Are there any other ways that using our eBikes has changed your lifestyle?
I was a daily cyclist in my previous job where I had somewhere easy to shower and change. Now I use Forest to get home when I’m too tired to walk because my journey is much shorter. 4km instead of 8km.
What do you think of Forest as a brand? How do you feel about your experience in general, and how it can be improved?
I love Forest and choose you over and above any other bike brand. I like the free 10 mins and the sustainability and the comms are always fun and spot on.
What would you say to other women who’d like to start riding eBikes, but are hesitant to get started?
It’s safer than public transport because you are in control. It usually takes less than half the time of the bus and doesn’t take very much effort at all. Quick and easy to download the app and a great community to be part of.

What do you use the basket of a forest bike for?
I put flowers in the front basket and pretend I’m in Amsterdam, not Camberwell.

What do you typically use a Forest bike for?
I use forest to get some air before and after work. You get to see the city and it’s a great way to wind up and wind down.
What’s your most memorable experience of a Forest bike?
Putting my phone on FaceTime while cycling through the city so my mum and dad can see me and a good back drop.
